Recently, UW-Oshkosh celebrated the 60th anniversary of the Radio TV Film program. All alumni who were part of the UW Oshkosh Radio TV Film program were invited to campus for a special reunion as part of Homecoming 2024.

Several alumni awards were presented, including Kenton Barber Class of 2017 – Outstanding Young Alumni, John Close Class of 1976 – Distinguished Alumni, and Alan Freitag Class of 1973 – Distinguished Alumni.

Civic Media was represented as alumni Teri Barr and Tim Thiede were in attendance.

Civic Media’s Teri Barr, Class of 1986, was a noted speaker at the event.

Teri is a content creator, show producer, music show host, and Social media director along with fulfilling MANY other duties within the Civic Media realm.

Tim’s home station is WRCO in Richland Center and he works as an on air talent, sports programming producer, and production specialist and also assumes many other roles at WRCO.
