By Austin BrumetPark Falls, Wis. (WCQM/WPFP) – Our Savior’s Episcopal Church in Lugerville, will be closing. They were the first established church in Lugerville when they were first founded in 1938 and moved locations several times until 1949 when the church acquired the former South Fork School. The building was then moved ten miles to Lugerville, where it sits today. We spoke with Ken Johnson, one of the church’s four remaining regular members, about the history of the church and the planned final services.
“We see that more often these days,” Ken stated, referring to the closing of the church. “In mainline churches, it seems like the younger generation isn’t as church going as the older generation is.”
Future plans for the building, and the contents within it, have yet to be confirmed.
