GREEN BAY, WI – (WGBW) – The Brown County assistant district attorney is running for Wisconsin’s 89th Assembly District. Ryan Spaude, a Democrat kicked off his candidacy this weekend.
According to his website, Spaude is running for Assembly District 89 because “I know there are way too many families in the Green Bay area who are hurting. Yes, the stock market is going up, and yes inflation is coming down. But there are still way too many people around here who are struggling.”
Spaudes’ priorities include keeping taxes stead for the middle class, investing more in public schools, and raising the minimum wage.
Spaude, a Democrat, is the only person to announce a run for the 89th Assembly District at this time. The newly drawn district includes the west side of the City of Green Bay and Ashwaubenon.
GREEN BAY, WI – Surrounded by family, friends, and local elected leaders on the steps of the Brown County Courthouse, Assistant District Attorney Ryan Spaude launched his campaign for state assembly on Saturday morning.
“I’m running because I know there are way too many families in the Green Bay area who are hurting. Yes the stock market is going up, and yes inflation is coming down. But there are still way too many people around here who are struggling.”
Spaude’s priorities include holding the line on taxes for the middle class, investing more money in our public schools, raising the minimum wage, fully funding the Child Care Counts Program, and finally expanding Medicaid in Wisconsin.
“We can do so much to help working families, if we elect new leadership down in Madison.”
Ryan Spaude is an Assistant District Attorney for Brown County. His personal focus is on prosecuting drunk drivers. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Princeton University and his law degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School. He’s a proud Democrat who cares about this community, its safety, and its future.
